Enormous Early 20th C Wrought Iron American Arbor

Enormous Early 20th C Wrought Iron American Arbor

Large, well-priced garden structures are particularly difficult to find, but we scored a winner in this American wrought iron arbor dating to the 1920s. In two sections that screw together at the top, it features a sturdy riveted wrought iron frame with lovely cross-hatched undulating thick wire attached to the frame. True and straight in form, and with no repairs or missing pieces, it will support pretty much any climber except for aggressive wisteria that when mature, is too heavy for all antique arbors. Imagine this beauty at the far end of an allée covered in Montana Rubens Clematis or Flowering Trumpet Vine. In an old black painted surface with some surface rusting, this arbor is lovely and durable in all climates and we love its look as is, but can have it sandblasted and powder-coated or re-painted to your custom specifications for a modest up-charge. Please note that the depth without the feet is listed below, but the depth including the feet is 32 inches.
