What a centerpiece for your garden! Estate-scale, very finely cast and in all original paint (with orange primer undercoat), this fabulous French urn dates from the mid-19th C. Although it is unsigned, this beauty is too well-crafted to have been made by any but one of the best foundries and we suspect it it was either the work of JJ Ducel or Val D`Osne. We love the original mottled dark green and orange paint, but you can have it sandblasted and repainted in your choice of color. Imagine it atop a stone or iron plinth in the center of your garden, planted with a profuse cascade of blooms. Simply amazing! France, CA 1840-70.
