French 19th Century Green-Glazed Terracotta Pot from Apt
It’s true that we have a thing for green-glazed 19th Century pots, and this one from Apt in the South of France is a beauty. One of three that we currently have in stock (see CPO #1044 and CPO #1036), it is also glazed in an ochre color on the inside and has a small drain hole in the bottom. In excellent overall antique condition, it does have some missing glaze to the outside just below the rim as well as a few other spots that do not detract from its beauty or functionality. Pot it up with a colorful arrangement of annuals or a small topiary with dripping vines cascading down the sides or use in a grouping on your front porch. This pot will be fine left outside year-round in mild temperatures, but please do empty it and cover or bring inside in harsh winter climates.
