Pair of Large Eternit Saucer Planters Designed by Willy Guhl
Traditionally known as "vasques", these large shallow saucer planters were designed by the iconic Willy Guhl and produced by Eternit of Switzerland. Their crisp, streamlined form is so visually appealing and they can hold a large planting of shallow-rooted plants such as sedum and grasses. Perfect flanking the entrance to a contemporary home or garden, they are made of fiber cement, a lightweight and durable material that can be left outside in all weather, although we do recommend emptying them and turning them upside-down in harsh winter climates. This pair is in excellent structural condition with no cracks or repairs and the one that shows red in the center can easily be cleaned, as this only a red algae stain. They have a lovely naturally-weathered surface and are stamped "Eternit" on the bottom. Priced and sold as a pair. PLease note that we also have contemporary three-legged black steel stands available to hold these if you would like to raise them above ground.
