Long Pair of Pale Grey-Washed French Oak Benches
We are always looking for great pairs of long benches and this pair does not disappoint. The plank tops have been hand-cut of French oak and the legs, which we think are beech, have been sanded and washed in a pale semi-translucent paint that allows the knots and grain to show through. They would be perfect flanking a long dining table with chairs at either short end and can easily seat four to a bench. Please note that the plank tops are not exactly the same size, but this happens sometimes with pieces of this age. The differential is small, however, and not noticeable unless you place the benches end to end. Sturdy and without any wobble to them, they were long-ago reinforced with supports on the underside that are not visible when turned upright, but are shown in the photos.
