French Oval Marble Topped Dining Table with Cast Iron Base
It is rare when we come across oval tables for the garden and this one is a beauty. The top is not a perfect oval, as it was hand-cut, but lovely nonetheless. The marble reads white with heavy grey veining and is in overall good antique condition, but a few scrapes to the edges were incurred in shipping (shown in the last three photos). The scrapes will weather over very quickly if the table is placed outside. It sits atop a cast iron base that is not very old…likely 1970s or so, but it is very sturdy with no wobble and has great decorative detailing like the dolphin pad feet. The paint on the base has a small amount of surface rusting, but of course, we can have it sandblasted and repainted or powder-coated to your custom specifications for a modest upcharge. Lovely on a terrace or underneath a pergola in your garden, this elegant table will seat six easily or you could squeeze in eight with the proper chairs.
