Enormous Round 19th Century French Hand-Carved Stone Trough
One of the most exceptional finds of our most recent buying trip, this enormous round trough is hand-carved from a very hard limestone known as Pierre de Deux Sevres. Its warm honey color and light weathering are most appealing and it would be stunning as a fountain feature with a center flume or gentle bubble, Alternatively, it's big enough to accept a large tree or exuberant planting, so you choose! In superb condition and very rare in size and shape, this one won't last long! Please note that the lightly-weathered surface is because the piece was used in an indoor building and shielded from the elements, but we guarantee its age. Interior measurements: 47.75 in. diameter x 26.5 in. high interior depth.
