Pair of Rare Willy Guhl Conical Planters in Modern Steel Stands
We were very fortunate to source these numbered Willy Guhl conical planters in all natural and unpainted surface and have had 3-legged contemporary steel stands made for them. We have painted the stands in a satin black finish that resembles anthracite grey, so the overall look is sleek and very modern. Commodious in size, they would be fabulous potted up with tall grasses ringed with dripping sedum and flanking the entrance to a contemporary home. Designed by the iconic Willy Guhl, and made by Eternit, Switzerland in the 1950s of fiber cement, these planters are lightweight, strong, and very durable in all climates. There is one hairline crack to one planter (photos #4 and #7) that is being invisibly restored at the present time.
Switzerland, CA 1950.
