Grand Armillary on Carved Stone Pedestal
This grand armillary is an impressive hand-made contemporary one, but sits on a carved stone pedestal that dates to the 1930s. Simple and elegant of form, the armillary itself has been painted a neutral cream color and sports some rusting. It screws to the top of the tall cylindrical columnar base which is also a soft cream color with light weathering. Perfect in the center of your rose garden or parterre, it is durable in all climates so no worries about leaving it outside in cold climates.
England, CA 1930 and 2010.
