Pair of Large French Steel Lanterns on Original Brackets
These classic lanterns on brackets adorn the street corners of many villages in Southwest France, but it is rare to be able to score two identical pairs from the 1930s. Made of steel, and featuring their original bronze nuts, brackets, wall plates, and translucent white plexiglass panes, the lanterns have a charming and original rusty/black surface. They can easily be repainted or clear-coated to prevent degradation and preserve the antique look. The metal brackets are simple, elegant, and work with nearly any style of home. Price includes rewiring for US. We can also paint them for you, install new clear glass, or add a fancy custom 4-light cluster for a modest up-charge. PRICED AND SOLD BY THE PAIR. Please note that the pair shown in the photos has sold and the others do not have white plexiglass inserts, so please call us for photos of the remaining pair.
