Decorative French Beaux Arts Wrought Iron Garden Gate
We love this French iron gate that dates to around 1890, particularly for its rusty surface with traces of old green and silver paint. Although the handle was replaced in the mid 20th C, it is purely decorative, as it is frozen at the present time (but possibly can be unfrozen using penetrating oil). It can also be painted. All the decorative elements are in place and in good condition, but there is a 14" long area at the very bottom of the backside of the gate where the iron has thinned and there is minor gapping. We can fix this if you like and the gate can be sandblasted and repainted to your custom specifications if you're not keen on the rusty surface. A great focal point at the entrance to your secret garden!
