Pair of French Enameled Cast Iron Vases Signed Rosiers
This pair of enameled cast iron vases is very smart and the unique weathering pattern on the grey enameled surface gives them a very contemporary feel. Made and signed on the bottoms by the famous French foundry, Rosiers, they would make stunning accent pieces on your mantle, coffee table or desk, with or without flowers. They also are sufficiently heavy to serve as an unusual pair of bookends. The cast iron is in perfect condition on both vases. Worn shoulder enamel on both vases reveals mottled blue, white and a touch of faded burgundy colors underneath. One rim has a 1" x 1/8" enamel chip; the other's base has small losses of enamel revealing a little rusted surface underneath. Of course, we can always drill drain holes in the bottoms for you if you'd like to use them as planters!
