French Zinc Oeil de Boeuf Mirror
This architecturally-commanding zinc-framed "eye of the steer" window frame was converted to a mirror in the mid-20th C, but originally served as a dormer for an 18th C French chateau. With a beautifully-patinated surface, steely grey color, and bold details, it could be the perfect addition to a room where mixed textures rule the day. In excellent overall condition; small repair near the back side is nearly invisible to the eye.
France, CA 1790.
