Large French Wrought Iron Boulangerie Rack
What an unusual and rare piece! Straight from a boulangerie in the Southwest of France, this hand-wrought iron rack in original, worn white painted surface with some rust was originally used to store baguettes. We think it would make an amazing focal point on a kitchen wall to house pots and pans, as a plant stand inside or out, or as a storage piece for hats, gloves, scarves, etc. in a mudroom. The bottom two "shelves" are curved concavely, while the top shelf is flat. The curved edges can be used to hang jackets and coats. In excellent condition, the piece is riveted and dates to the turn of the 19th/20th C. We are happy to have it sandblasted and repainted for you for a modest up-charge.
