Pair of Round English Fireclay Uns on Plinths, Signed LEFCO
Signed inside the bases by the Leeds Fireclay Company (LEFCO), these urns in three parts have a rare form and their original plinths. Beautiful laurel wreath swagged decoration. Gorgeous on their own or potted and placed inside or out. One minor chip to the underside of urn #1's lip and two minor chips to the underside of urn #2's lip. Very minor chips and dings to both bases and plinths and a small repair to the corner of one base. Overall good condition; weathering commensurate with age. Fireclay is made from terracotta that is fired to extremely high temperatures, producing a very hard surface that wears extremely well in cold climates.
