These early 20th C hand-made wooden triangular trays hail from the Lot et Garonne region in the Southwest of France and are still used today to dry Damson plums. Agen, capital of the Lot et Garonne, is the "prune capital" of the world and plum orchards are everywhere. We love them hung individually as contemporary wall art or in a group for a unique headboard or large mural (lightweight and very easy to hang on a nail). We have 4 remaining in two sizes...40` hi x 28.5" wide x 2 5/8" deep (large) and 33.5" hi x 24.5" wide x 2 3/8" deep. Priced and sold individually. Photos show both sides...the front side is lighter in color and the backside is darker. France, CA 1920.
